We offer tenting directly on the banks of the San Gabriel River East Fork. You can also enjoy our cozy camping cabin — Hobbit House.
Clean, modern restrooms and showers, and the convenience of our great Café & General Store will make your visit a comfortable one.
It’s so beautiful here, that you might just want to stake out your own little piece of Camp Williams. Our Mobile Home Park has both sites available. Having your own site in our Mobile Park includes the use of our beautiful in-ground pool.

stayed here 5/17/13-5/19/13
Not too far, and yet so fun! Its my first time here and didn't know what to expect. I tried it because of the reviews here on Yelp. So here's my Yays and Nays..
I think its a great camp site because of the following:
1.) Our tents are about 2-3 ft from the water.
2.) There are faucets and porta potty close by
3.) There are warm showers with flush toilets for a token (50 cents)
4.) You can do water tubing in the water.
5.) Water is a little cold but it became warm in the afternoon
6.) Someone always goes around to check each site every 2-3 hours.
7.) If you do a little panning, you can actually see gold flakes... it was an experience..
8.) I don't have to drive far to get here.
9.) Pets are allowed
Here are my Nays..
1.) No fishing, i meant no fish there.
2.) A little rocky in my site, make sure to bring air bed.
3.) Not a lot of place to hike.
4.) It gets really cold at night.
5.) No phone signal at all
6.) NO CHARCOAL ALLOWED. ONLY PROPANE STUFF ARE ALLOWED.
For me over all, the campsite is great. I was worried a little bit when not a lot of people are camping there. The area is great, for family, kids and pets. I enjoyed the area where we can actually soak in the water...
we occupied 26,27,27A,28. Its near the faucet, and bathroom. After near this site number its already on the other side where not a lot people occupy or newer site... i saw grass growing on the other side of the sites. But if you want much to be further from the crowd but further from the faucets take those higher number sites. 
Camp Williams is located on a prime, perfect price of the San Gabriel River. Perfect spot for an afternoon swim or for a nice scenic hike. I recommend asking for a campsite as far up the river as possible to be further away from the mobile hone park which has lights on all night long. All of the campsites at camp Williams are on the water so basically every site is great! Camp hosts are very nice and very tolerant of everyone. 
Really fantastic place to call home! Great community of people! Everyone is willing to help you out with any problem you may have with your unit - big or small! And very knowledgeable to boot. There is a master of every trade there. It's a really special place.
