4 star rating Stayed here on the Saturday before Easter for the 1st time, camping in a tent. It was interesting and the view of the stream was peaceful. If you come early you can camp right the water's edge. Right now is their off season so part of the camp was closed & there wasn't that many people there. You also can come & picnic there for the day for $6. A night stay is $40 off season, $50 the rest of the time. Nice area to go hiking and take a dip in the stream if you can handle the cold water. The people who run the place, in the cafe, were really friendly. Their food is good too & cheap prices.

Pros
Friendly staff
Nice views if coming or making reservation early
Close to major cities

Cons
They didn't really seem to enforce some of their rules as far as what campers are supposed to do & not to do.

1. We had some assholes next to us who set up there camp after we did, otherwise we would've avoided them. They did not follow the 10pm noise rule. After a long day of camping on Saturday all we wanted to is to get some rest. These idiots didn't start their party until 12am on Sunday after their kids went to sleep. Second they had pellet guns, which was clearly stated in the rules were not allowed on the campgrounds, shooting @ beer cans & whatever else they could see. I know it's not the camp manager's fault these people were assholes, but they could at least enforce these rules of theirs. One security guy for the entire place does not work.

2. The bathrooms; Omg, I don't know what to say about them. Only one bathroom, two toilets, two sinks, & two showers that looked scary, lol. I would hate to think how crowded & crazy it gets there when it's a holiday weekend.

Otherwise, I really like this place. I would definitely stay again and at least now I know what to expect. - 4/09/2012

5 star rating My girlfriends and I decided to do a little camping trip for the weekend. It was our first time here and we had an awesome experience! Everyone was so helpful and nice. I love how there was creek a few steps away from where we pitched the tent! We were able to take our chairs into the creek while enjoying some games too! Since it was only a short 30 minute drive, I definitely want to come here again! If you want a safe campsite for family and friends, this is the place! We met some friendly families while camping out, which made the experience even more fun! - 11/22/2015
